"Repetition is not failure. Ask the waves, ask the leaves, ask the wind. There is no expected pace for inner learning. What we need to learn comes when we need it, no matter how old or young, no matter how many times we have to start over, no matter how many times we have to learn the same lesson. We fall down as many times as we need to, to learn how to fall and get up…. No one really likes this, of course, but we deal with our dislike in the same way, again and again, until we learn what we need to know about the humility of acceptance." -Mark Nepo Book of Awakening
After ten years of teaching and continued study of yoga.
I come back to this.
Repetition….
We are moving and breathing into stillness.
Yoga is an internal practice, we move and breath with focused attention.
Sensitive in our awareness both on and off the mat.
We use our yoga class to fine-tune the sensation in the body and breath.
Often we go too far or not quite far enough, there are lots of obstacles in the way, one of which is our inner narrator telling us all sorts of stories ( often about ourselves ) which often are not true!
Eventually with practice we can learn to focus, turn inward to peace.
If we can have this together for moment we are succeeding at the practice of yoga.
Moving into shapes, with our body, gaining flexibility and keeping mobility and strength are essential for a healthy happy life.
As are all the things that make you happy.
I am looking forward to Seeing you soon 🧡
